Michael Young
Managing Director
Michael leads MBN Recruitment Solutions from the front with a mixture of high-level strategic vision and hands-on practical recruitment expertise. He works in partnership with his colleagues and our clients to ensure long-term business relationships and overall service excellence. A graduate in Information Systems and Business Management, his recruitment career has taken him from Bristol back to Glasgow with a variety of market-leading technology recruiters. He established MBN Recruitment Solutions in 2007 and has grown the business to a level where they are now a key recruitment partner to a number of FTSE 100 companies.
Robin Huggins
Business Development Manager
Robin’s role combines elements of strategic business development, Operations Management, leadership of the MBN Insight and Analytics team and Training and Development manager for the business. Following on from graduate studies in Politics and Psychology and Post-Graduate studies in Human Resource Management, he entered the recruitment sector where his 10 + years of experience has spanned roles up to Divisional Manager level with a global blue-chip consultancy.
Edward Barclay
Head of Technology Recruitment
Edward manages the MBN Technology recruitment team, combining new business development, account management and day-to-day operations activities. He leads and mentors a team of technology recruiters and contributes to strategic decision-making for the business as a member of the management team. Ed is a Business Administration graduate with over 7 year’s recruitment experience, managing teams in Edinburgh, London and Glasgow.
Darrel Curren
Senior Account Manager
Darrel leads the Account Management function within the business and acts as practice lead for delivery across all channels. He has specific responsibility for service delivery with all existing clients and works in partnership with the Business Development Manager to establish and maintain SLAs for all new clients. Darrel is an honours graduate in Business Management and has previously worked for companies such as Hudson, IBM and Reed.
Peter Docherty
Account Manager
Peter is an Account Manager whose primary role involves both identification and selection of appropriately skilled candidates and day-to-day management of many of our key corporate accounts. Peter is the longest-serving employee of the business, having been with us since incorporation in 2007. He worked with us in a part-time marketing capacity whilst completing his studies before taking up a full-time post in 2010.
Marc Crichton
Account Manager
Marc is the Technology Account Manager for the business with specific responsibility for resourcing, candidate liaison and development, marketing and market intelligence across the Technology sector. Marc is an accomplished technical recruiter with 5 years previous experience at Networkers International and Search Consultancy.
Joshua Smith
Recruitment Consultant
Josh is a graduate of the University of Glasgow where he studied Politics. Josh works across the Information Technology sphere with a focus on new client development, niche candidate selection and client relationship management. Josh recruits across areas such as Software Development, Support, Management, Testing, Analysis and Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing.
Haddon McPherson
Recruitment Consultant
Haddon graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011. He works within the Technology space as a recruiter with responsibilities for business development, candidate attraction, selection and retention and account management. Areas covered include Software Development, Support, Management, Testing, Analysis and Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing.
Heather White
Administration Manager
Heather is the Administration Manager for MBN Recruitment Solutions with wide ranging responsibilities across many functions of the business. Her role incorporates financial management, marketing, payroll, personnel and office management tasks. She oversees all sales support functions, providing a quality control system for all operations. Heather brings a wealth of experience in administration management to MBN, having previously worked for a variety of blue-chip private and public sector organisations.
