Interview Tips
Be Prepared

- Good sources of information include annual reports, company brochures, company websites and the press
- Raise points during the interview and ask questions. It shows you are interested and inquisitive – remember - it’s as much about you liking them as it is about them liking you.
First Impressions count

- Dress to impress – professional attire, minimal jewellery.
- Be positive and enthusiastic
- Be honest and do not criticise previous employers or companies
- Don’t waffle – be concise
- Be confident

Ask intelligent questions

- Ideas for questions topics include: the role, the team/department you will be working with; the company itself; the market and competitors; the selection process
- Asking intelligent questions demonstrates an inquisitive mind.
Be Honest
- Do not lie on your CV or during the interview. You WILL get found out.
If a prospective employer cannot trust you now, how can they be expected to when you are working for them? - Be yourself and if you do not know the answer, admit it and suggest a solution to the problem.

- If there are any negative points, put a positive twist on them.
